CWE-841
Improper Enforcement of Behavioral Workflow
The product supports a session in which more than one behavior must be performed by an actor, but it does not properly ensure that the actor performs the behaviors in the required sequence.
Improper Enforcement of Behavioral Controls in Devolutions Server 2025.3.15 and earlier allows an authenticated attacker with the delete permission to delete a PAM account that is currently checked out by selecting it alongside at least one non-checked-out account and performing a bulk deletion.
Controls limiting uploads to certain file extensions may be bypassed. This could allow an attacker to intercept the initial file upload page response and modify the associated code. This modified code can be forwarded and used by a script loaded later in the sequence, allowing for arbitrary file upload into a location where PHP scripts may be executed.
Client-side JavaScript controls may be bypassed to change user credentials and permissions without authentication, including a “root” user level meant only for the vendor. Web server root level access allows for changing of safety critical parameters.
YetAnotherForum.NET (YAF.NET) is a C# ASP.NET forum. Prior to 4.0.5, Any admin OnPost… handler executes its side effects before the ResultFilterAttribute rewrites the response to a 302 to /Info/4. The most impactful abuse is /Admin/RunSql, whose OnPostRunQuery binds Editor from the POST body and passes it straight to IDbAccess.RunSql with no caller check, yielding arbitrary SQL execution for any low-privileged user. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.0.5.
Unexpected Status Code or Return Value vulnerability in ninenines gun (gun_http module) allows a malicious HTTP server to force the client into raw protocol mode via an unsolicited 101 Switching Protocols response. In gun_http:handle_inform/8, when a 101 Switching Protocols response is received over HTTP/1.1, the function verifies only that the Upgrade header is syntactically valid and that the stream reference is a plain reference(). It does not check whether the client ever sent an Upgrade or Connection: upgrade header on the corresponding request. Because this check is absent, any 101 response (solicited or not) causes gun to dispatch a gun_upgrade message to the caller and transition the entire connection to raw protocol mode. A malicious or compromised HTTP server can send an unsolicited 101 response to any HTTP/1.1 request, causing the gun client to abandon HTTP framing for that connection. Once in raw mode, gun_raw applies no flow control (flow=infinity) and re-arms socket active mode after every received packet, so the server can flood the client with arbitrary bytes. These are forwarded as unbounded gun_data messages to the owner process, exhausting its mailbox and BEAM memory, ultimately crashing the VM. This issue affects gun: from 2.0.0 before 2.4.0.
Botan is a C++ cryptography library. Prior to version 3.11.1, the TLS 1.3 implementation allowed ApplicationData records to be processed prior to the Finished message being received. A server which is attempting to enforce client authentication via certificates can by bypassed by a client which entirely omits Certificate, CertificateVerify, and the Finished message and instead sends application data records. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.1.
FreeScout is a free self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox. Prior to version 1.8.180, the laravel-translation-manager package does not correctly validate user input, enabling the deletion of any directory, given sufficient access rights. This issue has been patched in version 1.8.180.
Mastodon is a free, open-source social network server based on ActivityPub. Prior to v4.5.9, v4.4.16, and v4.3.22, Mastodon allows restricting new user sign-up based on e-mail domain names, and performs basic validation on e-mail addresses, but fails to restrict characters that are interpreted differently by some mailing servers. This vulnerability is fixed in v4.5.9, v4.4.16, and v4.3.22.
Sunshine is a self-hosted game stream host for Moonlight. In 0.23.1 and earlier, Sunshine's pairing protocol implementation does not validate request order and is thereby vulnerable to a MITM attack, potentially allowing an unauthenticated attacker to pair a client by hijacking a legitimate pairing attempt. This bug may also be used by a remote attacker to crash Sunshine. This vulnerability is fixed in 2025.118.151840.
An authorization bypass vulnerability was discovered in GitLab affecting versions 15.1 prior to 16.7.6, 16.8 prior to 16.8.3, and 16.9 prior to 16.9.1. A developer could bypass CODEOWNERS approvals by creating a merge conflict.
Net::IMAP implements Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) client functionality in Ruby. Prior to versions 0.3.10, 0.4.24, 0.5.14, and 0.6.4, a man-in-the-middle attacker can cause Net::IMAP#starttls to return "successfully", without starting TLS. This issue has been patched in versions 0.3.10, 0.4.24, 0.5.14, and 0.6.4.
A Business Logic vulnerability exists in SourceCodester Pharmacy Product Management System 1.0 in the add-sales.php file. The application fails to verify if the requested sales quantity (txtqty) exceeds the available stock level. An attacker can manipulate the request to purchase a quantity that is significantly higher than the actual available stock.
A loop hole in the payment logic of Sparkshop v1.16 allows attackers to arbitrarily modify the number of products.
Client-side JavaScript controls may be bypassed by directly running a JS function to reboot the PLC (e.g., from the browser console) or by loading the corresponding, browser accessible PHP script
Filament is a collection of full-stack components for accelerated Laravel development. From 4.0.0 until 4.11.5 and 5.6.5, a flaw in the handling of recovery codes for app-based multi-factor authentication allows the same recovery code to be reused via concurrent submission. This issue does not affect email-based MFA. It also only applies when recovery codes are enabled. If an attacker gains access to both the user's password and their recovery codes, they get two authenticated sessions per recovery code burned instead of one, or more if they batch the parallel submissions wider, materially extending the attacker's window of access compared to what the single-use guarantee implies. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.11.5 and 5.6.5.
Chamilo is a learning management system. Prior to version 1.11.30, a logic vulnerability in the friend request workflow of Chamilo’s social network module allows an authenticated user to forcibly add any user as a friend by directly calling the AJAX endpoint. The attacker can bypass the normal flow of sending and accepting friend requests, and even add non-existent users. This breaks access control and social interaction logic, with potential privacy implications. This issue has been patched in version 1.11.30.
FreeScout is a free self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox. Prior to version 1.8.180, when adding and editing user records using the fill() method, there is no check for the absence of the password field in the data coming from the user, which leads to a mass-assignment vulnerability. As a result, a user with the right to edit other users of the system can change their password, and then log in to the system using the set password. This issue has been patched in version 1.8.180.
FreeScout is a free self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox. Prior to version 1.8.180, the application's logic requires the user to perform a correct sequence of actions to implement a functional capability, but the application allows access to the functional capability without correctly completing one or more actions in the sequence. The leaves the attributes of Mailbox object able to be changed by the fill method. This issue has been patched in version 1.8.180.
Improper Enforcement of Behavioral Workflow vulnerability in DECE Software Geodi allows Functionality Bypass. This issue affects Geodi: before 8.0.0.27396.
FreeScout is a free self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox. Prior to version 1.8.180, insufficient input validation during user creation has resulted in a mass assignment vulnerability, allowing an attacker to manipulate all fields of the object, which are enumerated in the $fillable array (the User object), when creating a new user. This issue has been patched in version 1.8.180.
